JANGO STARR (Clive Andrews) has worked solo and with companies as a Clown, Improviser, Physical Theatre Actor, Dancer, Aerialist and Juggler, in the UK, China & Australia. He has over 25 years of performance experience, including work in Theatre, Big Top Circus, Arts and Street Festivals, Children’s TV, Corporate Functions, Promotions, Dance Festivals, and TV Commercials. He has performed for numerous companies, festivals, venues and events including;Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014, Sydney Festival,World Expo Shanghai, Snapdragon Circus, Montana Ice Circus, Bristol Harbourside Festival, WOMAD Festival, Brisbane Festival,Yorkshire, Leicester, and Glasgow Comedy Festivals, London Zoo, and Spiegeltent Edinburgh. Solo works include The Lighthouse Keeper, Out to Lunch, At the Drop of a Hat. As a dramaturg Clive has worked with Janis Claxton Dance on Humanimallia, Enclosure Humans and POP-UP Duets.
GERRY MULGREW has worked extensively in Scotland and abroad both freelance and with his own company, Communicado. For Communicado his directorial credits include Cyrano de Bergerac, The Cone Gatherers, the first production of Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off, Jock Tamson’s Bairns, Blood Wedding and The Suicide. Recently he directed Gogol’s Government Inspector which won a CATSaward for Best Music and his own adaptation of Tam O Shanter was nominated for Best Musical at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In 2015 Gerry worked in Beijing directing Chinese actors in a program of shortpieces by Samuel Beckett, translated into Mandarin. Later in the year he directed final year students at Edinburgh College in a piece about 9/1 1, and worked with the Yugen Puppet Company in The Fisherman and the Seal. In addition to directing,Gerry is also an actor, and appeared recently in David Grieg’s adaptation of Alasdair Gray’s epic novel Lanark, directed by Graham Eatough for the Edinburgh International Festival. www.communicadotheatre.co.uk
PHILIP PINSKY is a composer and sound designer. For five years he was Associate Artist at the RoyalLyceum, working on more than 25 productions. He has also provided scores for NTS, EIF, Chichester Festival Theatre, Traverse, Almeida, Dundee Rep, TNM (Montreal), Grid Iron, Stellar Quines, Lung Ha, Magnetic North, Shetland Arts, Red Shift, Assembly, Imaginate, SCO, Sky Arts, MTV, Granada and BBC TV and Radio. He has worked with Janis Claxton Dance on Humanimalia and Chaos & Contingency and is winner of the Critics Award for Theatre in Scotland 2005 and of a Sony Music Award for Extraneous Noises Off, BBC Radio 3. BECKY MINTO is as a set and costume designer who has designed a wide range of productions for mainhouse and touring theatre, aerial and dance performances, and site-specific and large scale outdoor events including Associate Designer for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for Glasgow 2104 Commonwealth Games. Her designs for the National Theatre of Scotland’s multi-location Shetland based production Ignition and Iron-Oxide’s site-specific production ofWhite Gold were selected to be part of the exhibition Make Believe/UK Design for Performance at the Prague Quadrennial 2015 and at The V&A museum in London. Future projects include: Granite, 306/Dawn, National Theatre of Scotland, Hard Times, Pitlochry Festival Theatre. JANIS CLAXTON is a choreographer, movement director and producer.
